Testimonials

These are just a few stories that we hear at Trust House. Everyone that comes through the doors has their own story and we aim to help them as best we can.

E’s Story

E lives alone and suffers from severe anxiety and depression, her mum tries to support her the best she can but she lives an hour away. Following her sister’s suicide, E didn’t know where to turn. She was recommended to visit Trust House. We have now worked with her to get the financial help and support she needs as well as assisting with her PIP assessment.

I found Trust House by chance and at first I didn’t want to go, I was worried that the people there would judge me and that they would not take me seriously. As soon as I went in, the people made me really welcome, they take the time to sit with me and ask how I’m doing. I’d have been totally lost this past year without their help.

A’s Story

A really struggles to make ends meet, he often goes without food in order to feed his dog. As well as attending Trust House 4 times a week to access community café, he is also a member of the pantry scheme and has also benefited from advice on managing his money and accessing benefits.

I wish Trust House was open 7 days a week, you always get a warm welcome and it’s great to have someone to chat with who you know cares about you.

I’s Story

I was a victim of knife crime last year, and now struggles to leave the house because of PTSD. He was referred to us through this housing association and has recently started accessing our services.

I didn’t think there were any good people left in the world, but Trust House have proved me wrong. They encourage me to come out and never judge me if I’m in a bad place.
